Fashion Designer Has a New House

This fashion designer is no stranger to the fashion community. Dana has been designing for many years but decided to open DivaGroove LLC six years ago because she finally found her passion in life. She has been featured in such publications as Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Fort Wayne-News Sentinel, South Bend Tribune, Twist Magazine, HOUR Magazine, Real Detroit Magazine, Metro Times, Detroiter.com, Fuzzytek's News, Six Degrees Magazine, Model Mahem, Strut Magazine, Pink Magazine, Model D and Tint Magazine.

DivaGroove's vision is to meet the fashion and cultural needs of the people of Detroit as a custom fashion designer and artist through the quality of the design collections, the excellence of the art exhibitions and the professionalism of the staff.

Dana will also have all of her latest artistic creations on display. Although this artist paints in all mediums and subject matter, this show is limited to her visualization of the fashion world. There will also be a very interesting section dedicated to fashion history. Some date back to the 1950's.

House of Groove will carry various ranges of designer clothing and accessories for men and women. There is no limit to her creative ability: Jeans, purses, capes, ponchos and hats. Dana can design whatever you like. She can even design capes and hats with matching collars for your pet and pet accessories. She uses her two Maltese doggies "Dylan" and "Remy" as her mascots for the pet line.

Fashion Mentoring Program
Students in the DivaGroove Mentoring Program learn about the creative fields of fashion, fashion illustration and the business of becoming a fashion designer. The program is organized and run by Dana Keaton with the common goal of making a difference in the lives of Detroit's young artists.

Students interested in fashion design can sign up for the program during this event. Classes are scheduled to start in June 2007 and will be held at the DivaGroove studio and Rayn Gallery facility. Rayn gallery is also located at the 4731 Arts Incubator building.
