GRAND OPENING
Detroit Fashion Incubator

Friday December 1st from 7 - 11pm

DFI, 4737 Grand River Ave.

This fashionable establishment will host a Charity Auction with proceeds donated to a local HIV/AIDS organization, Steppin' Out - Producers of AIDS WALK DETROIT.

This gala will feature over 15 emerging and established designers such as DFI members: Michael Wilson, Eugenia Paul, Dana Keaton, Kate Bennett and Samantha Bullock. Each designer will create a garment or accessory that will be auctioned off on Ebay starting on December1, 2006 and ending on December 24, 2006 midnight. There will be 25 items up for auction in memory of the 25 years since the first diagnosed HIV case in 1981.

All merchandise will be displayed that night in the form of a fabulous strolling fashion show. Local models were gracious enough to volunteer their time to support this extremely worthy cause.

DFI has received various donations from businesses in the fashion community and around town. Haberman Fabrics donated over $500 worth of fabric and DJ Minx will supply the musical melodies for the night.
