Dana Keaton a.k.a. DivaGroove has been dabbling in the Artistic Universe since the day she picked up a crayon. Her work is admired by all, but draws a certain eclectic favoritism to the female audience. Her style of painting is very unique and fashionable. Dana works in a variety of mediums (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, pencil and ink).

DivaGroove designs are also unique. Dana creates one of a kind accessories and handbags to suite every attitude. When you purchase a DivaGroove original, you are truly purchasing an original. There is only one! DivaGroove travels to the most elite locations to bring you luscious fabrics in an array of wonderful colors.

Dana will also create custom personalized pieces of artwork as well as fashionable designs. DivaGroove merchandise can be purchased at various locations in Detroit.

Among Dana's many talents, she is also a former fashion model and her sense of fashion is expressed in her paintings and designs. Dana has a BS in Business & Management and is currently working on a dual MBA (Marketing). She has eight years of web experience and a lifetime of creative experience. Dana is a Certified Web Designer and a Certified Media Producer. Some of Dana's artistic experience was gathered from the College of Creative Studies which she still manages to take a class or two here and there. Dana likes to refer to her many talents as gifts from God.

Fashion Designer Has a New House

DivaGroove design studio, "House of Groove". Mentoring young, up and coming fashion designers is the highlight of this event.

This fashion designer is no stranger to the fashion community. Dana has been designing for many years but decided to open DivaGroove LLC six years ago because she finally found her passion in life. She has been featured in such publications as Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Fort Wayne-News Sentinel, South Bend Tribune, Twist Magazine, HOUR Magazine, Real Detroit Magazine, Metro Times, Detroiter.com, Fuzzytek's News, Six Degrees Magazine, Model Mahem, Strut Magazine, Pink Magazine, Model D and Tint Magazine.

DivaGroove's vision is to meet the fashion and cultural needs of the people of Detroit as a custom fashion designer and artist through the quality of the design collections, the excellence of the art exhibitions and the professionalism of the staff.

Dana will also have all of her latest artistic creations on display. Although this artist paints in all mediums and subject matter, this show is limited to her visualization of the fashion world. There will also be a very interesting section dedicated to fashion history. Some date back to the 1950's.

House of Groove will carry various ranges of designer clothing and accessories for men and women. There is no limit to her creative ability: Jeans, purses, capes, ponchos and hats. Dana can design whatever you like. She can even design capes and hats with matching collars for your pet and pet accessories. She uses her two Maltese doggies "Dylan" and "Remy" as her mascots for the pet line.

Fashion Mentoring Program
Students in the DivaGroove Mentoring Program learn about the creative fields of fashion, fashion illustration and the business of becoming a fashion designer. The program is organized and run by Dana Keaton with the common goal of making a difference in the lives of Detroit's young artists.

Students interested in fashion design can sign up for the program during this event. Classes are scheduled to start in June 2007 and will be held at the DivaGroove studio and Rayn Gallery facility. Rayn gallery is also located at the 4731 Arts Incubator building.
